You know what people say. A marriage created from a broken-up one is doomed to fail. Or something like that. How do I know this? Well, I read it in the Enquirer, so it must be true.

According to the rag, a source has confirmed that it is indeed “official” that the two will be separating ways. The Enquirer reports that after Angelina has finished filming her actioneer Salt, she’ll be packing up and moving the kids to Paris where she plans to recuperate from this tragedy. Or something to that effect. The news seems surprising especially since the couple were seen very sweet and, well, together when Brad’s film Inglorious Basterds premiered in Cannes last month. Supposedly, it was all an act, that the couple had already agreed to split even before Cannes. They were merely trying to prevent the story from getting out, but word got out anyway. Enquirer refuses to name their source for fear of, well, getting that person fired or worse. So right now, unless Bradgelina make an official statement, I’m inclined to believe that tabloid.

Then again, the paper isn’t exactly the most credible source of information. I don’t know what to think right now. On one hand, there have been persistent rumors about their break-up for a while so there has to be a grain of truth about this all. On the other, This is Bradgelina were talking about. The couple who went against all the odds to get together and, more importantly, stay together. Plus I don’t think there are any two more stubborn people in Hollywood, ergo they will do their best to make things work. But if they don’t, expect Brad to get a visit from Jennifer in crotchless panties sometime soon. And Ange? Well, let’s just say a horse head in her bed should be the least of her worries. When supposed nude photos of her leaked on the internet, everyone had an opinion on them. Unfortunately for her, so did the editors of one of the biggest fashion magazines in the world: Vogue. Their response? “You’re not for us anymore.”

Yup, Rihanna was scheduled to appear on a future cover of the legendary magazine. This would’ve been the first official cover shoot and story RiRi was supposed to do after the entire Chris Brown fiasco, and I’m sure the editors and investors of the magazine were already counting the dollar bills they’d be getting with the sales of the would-be hot issue. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the nude pics in question cost Rihanna the coveted cover spot because Vogue wants to distance themselves from all the, I guess, smut now attached to the star as a result of the leaked photos. Would have been a big seller too, if the people from Vogue decided to choose profits over standards.

Poor Rihanna. I mean, she wasn’t the one who leaked those pics. It’s not her fault that they came out. Do these Vogue people think that no one who ever posed for their cover has a nude pic lying around? I mean, several of the actresses who have been on the cover have done nude scenes in flicks. What would be the difference between that and having personal nude pics of one’s self released into the world? I just wish these archaic Vogue people would get with the times and realize that internet sensations are the new Oscar winners. I know that the French are pretty open and free about nudity and such, but trust actress Charlotte Gainsbourg to drive that point to it’s limit. The Cannes award-winning acclaimed French actress was photographed on the beaches of France as she takes a leisurely swim in between premieres and galas of the festival. Well, the answer is simple: It’s for a movie. Yup, this drastic change in her appearance is the result of her latest film called The Killer Inside Me where she plays a small-town white trash girl (hence the fug hair and the extra poundage) who may or may not be involved with a serial killer. This is Kate’s second horror/suspense film after the 2005 flop The Skeleton Key and she maybe didn’t learn her lesson that time so she’s hoping for another flop. Flops aren’t always difficult for her of late. After her only hit How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, she’s pretty much been downhill - career-wise - with flop after flop. Alex & Emma, Le Divorce, Raising Helen, You Me and Dupree… and the list goes on. Even her last release Bride Wars failed to catch the bouquet at the box office and ended up an old maid. So it’s easy to think that this latest incarnation of Kate is a result of depression and binge eating as the result of her failing stardom.

Well, let’s hope that this movie project will be good for her. She’ll be coming out in the fall all swinging, dancing, and singing in Rob Marshall’s adaptation of the hit broadway musical Nine - ergo Oscar bait for 2010. Then come summer or early fall of that year we’ll get to see this fug version of Kate acting alongside Jessica Alba, Casey Affleck and Simon Baker. And who knows, maybe all this fat and shit-hair will actually make people think differently about Kate - see her as more than just a RomCom gal. But if I were her, I would stick to what people want to see me in. I mean, look at what happened to Meg Ryan. If it ain’t broke Kate, don’t fix it. Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker has been described as one of the more fearless actresses of her generation. She’s not afraid to tackle difficult roles and the things she needs to do for them. But for the controversial series she stars in, there is one thing required of her that she doesn’t really enjoy doing - getting naked. For a TV show dealing with suburban marijuana-selling and copious amounts of sex and nudity, it should come as no surprise that Parker would be required to show skin once in a while. But it took almost four seasons for that to happen, and it didn’t occur in some steamy sex scene or after-shower getting dressed scene, it happened while she was in the tub taking a bath. She fought long and hard with the director about being nude but he insisted it was “integral to the story” - basically what every director says to get anyone to shed their clothing. Turns out, Paris had received a phone call saying that her beloved chihuahua Tinkerbell had been run over and killed, which lead to the screaming, which led to Doug screaming, which led to the neighbor’s phone call to the police, which led to here. Turned out that it was just a prank call and that Tinkerbell was really safe and sound.

Now, why would anyone wanna play a prank on Paris? She’s the sweetest, kindest, most well behaved heiress on the planet right now. So what if she goes on vacation for weeks on end and keeps her pets locked up in a closet to starve to death? So what if she can’t keep her mouth away from every 8-inch cock that makes it’s way into her mouth? So what if she regularly videotapes her sexual calisthenics and “accidentally” leaks them on the net? This is one of the most talented and beloved national treasures America has ever produced. She’s right along the lines of adored and respected individuals like George W. Bush, Anita Bryant, and Shauna Sand. She’s an amazing person and should be treated as such.

Def Jam records, Rihanna’s label, have been vigilant in asking websites to take down the photos because it violated their artists’ rights. And although this protective action can be seen as just a mere strong holding tactic, it also clearly reveals that they believe these to be private photos and not for public exhibition. Ergo, they believe it is her. Further proof that the pics can indeed be of Rihanna is the presence of Brown, the interior of the hotel being London West Hollywood where the two were confirmed to have stayed at least once, and the nipple piercings that Rihanna herself has. If it is a hoax, it’s a very complex and finely-executed one. Booking the actual hotel where the couple stayed. Hiring a woman that looks like the pop singer, complete with accurate nipple piercing. It seems a little coincidental that all these elements point to authenticity.

But with all the drama (legal and otherwise) surrounding Rihanna and Chris Brown, it’s clear that there’s still some bad blood between the two after Rihanna pushed through with legal action concerning their very public physical abuse incident. Now, Rihanna has to deal with these photos as well, pictures that many agree were leaked by Brown himself as a sort of revenge for this whole thing. Or maybe Chris Brown is just a real asshole. I really don’t know what goes on in that twisted mind of his, but whatever the purpose of it is it just makes him look even more like a douche. On the other hand, perhaps Rihanna herself leaked these to gain even more sympathy from the public but letting them think Brown did it. Ah, these crazy Hollywood people. The singer, who is currently in Europe for a series of shows tells the daily “Love is pure and I try to keep it that way. This is who I am, what I feel. I think it’s unnecessary to draw the subject out, but I think it even more stupid not to discuss it. It seems as if bisexuality is a trend and I should whip up the masses. Well, I don’t believe in trends, I just believe in me.” In the past when asked about being gay or bi or have had experience with the same sex, Pink would reply “I’m not gay so I guess I would not try a relationship with a woman.” But now she’s singing a different tune by saying “My love knows no colour, no gender, no fuss.” I guess now that she’s sold over 34 million records worldwide, she’s more open to the idea of, well… being open. Plus it doesn’t hurt that she’s now back in the arms of her former husband Carey Hart to give her support from any probable backlash.

So “reality” television’s “hottest” couple got hitched this past weekend. Big wup! It’s sad but… and I don’t wanna get political here, but gays and lesbians are fighting for their right to get married, and these two do it for fun? Come on! Yup, the paper-pale actress is set to play a really old 15-year-old Creole vampire in the hit series that debuts it’s second season in a couple of months. In it, she’ll be portraying a queen bee of sorts, a powerful vamp that wreaks havoc on the town of Bon Temps. Since she already looks like she sleeps in a coffin, it seems like a perfect fit for her. And don’t turn your nose up on this just because it’s TV. The show is helmed by Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball who won an Oscar for writing American Beauty and stars Academy Award winner Anna Paquin, who picked up an award for Best Actress for the role in last January’s Golden Globe Awards. So clearly it’s a quality project that will definitely get a lot of buzz.

What I’m really interested in is if, considering the show’s propensity towards nudity and topless babes (Anna, Cloverfield’s Lizzy Caplan, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s leading lady Lynn Collins have all bared their boobs on the show) Evan will do the same. But with just a two ep appearance, I doubt that will happen. Not because she’s shy about showing tit, since she did it in Across The Universe, but maybe because it’s not that big of a part. So, the producers of the “reality” show are now “scripting” a break-up, complete with mad press coverage, front-page tabloid exclusives, a long drawn-out late night talk show appearance period, and then the inevitable reunion where the beautiful couple will most probably cover People Magazine or Us Weekly with the headline “Together Again”. I don’t know about you, but this shit is pissing me off!!!

First of all, how idiotic do these people think we are? Everyone knows that The Hills is far from reality. It’s about as real as Heidi’s tits. So to do something like this for what, ratings, is clearly just a means of trying to be talked about and making money for Heidi, Spencer, and MTV Networks. Are they that hard-up for storylines that they have to resort to this? Clearly they are.

Now that the planned break-up has broken out in the media, I wonder if the dynamic dud duo will still push through. A part of me wishes they do, just to see this whole charade come falling down on their empty skulls and make a fool of everyone. Just like the stars over here, doing some crazy-ass shit that we can all enjoy.

It’s funny how you could be winning awards and hailed as the next Romantic Comedy Queen one moment, and then be reviled by Hollywood insiders and the blogsphere in the next. Well, that seems to be the current state that Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl is in right now. In fact, it’s gotten so bad that fans of the show are clamoring for her character Izzy Stevens to get offed.

It all began when the outspoken actress outspoke just a bit too much. During the third season of the show, she complained non-stop about the direction her character was taking, even going so far as to campaign against an Emmy nomination, an award she won the season prior. Telling the press that you don’t like how your character is being written is a veritable kiss of death for any actress on a top-rating TV show. ‘Cuz, you know, they could kill you off.

So that is how it has been for quite some time now. Add to that supposed bad on-set behaivior, reports of a bitchy persona, and all-around foot-in-mouth syndrome, and you’ve got one of the most-hated people on TV - both the character and the actress. Now, after Izzy has gotten a brain tumor on the show, it looks like the haters are surely gonna get what they want.

Ask Katherine herself, though, and she’ll simply shrug her shoulders. She actually doesn’t know if her character lives or dies by the end of this season. And for all her talk of wanting to leave the show, she now says that she’d like to stay and keep her dayjob. With a sprouting film career, she pretty much thinks either way is good for her.

So, only one thing remains: to wait. Wait ’til May when this season of Grey’s Anatomy ends and we finally know the fate of Izzy Stevens. If she goes, I’ll certainly miss her. Haven’t they even considered that other parents might not be too thrilled with their underage daughter having a child at such a young age? I think a good talking down to might not be such a bad idea in this case.

But I guess that she did get a talking down to since she has made the decision of not being a child bride. She’s rather focus on being a good mother, even to the point of thinking about leaving Hollywood for good. Now, coming from a Spears that may seem hard to believe, but I actually believe Jamie Lynn. She hasn’t done any attention-whoring. she hasn’t been seen out and about. She’s been pretty quite and out of the spotlight since she gave birth last year. So I guess she’s serious about this, huh?

Now, the obvious question is: Why the heck is this worth writing about? Well, personally I think LeAnn Rimes is hot. It’s easy to believe that someone would totally have the hots for her, including her co-star. So despite the clear attempt at drumming up publicity for their TV movie, I still wanna write about it. Because, when everyone involved went through so much trouble to stage this affair, pay the magazine to run the story, supply false photographs as evidence, then spin it as if the two stars involved had absolutely nothing to do with it and are completely surprised by the story breaking, well… ya gotta give ‘em what they want: publicity!

But what irks me so much is the product they’re drumming up buzz for. We’re not talking about some important piece of cinematic art. Heck, it ain’t even some 100 million dollar trashy special effects action film. It’s a fucking Lifetime movie people! My grandma watches that channel! I can’t believe out of the many ways they can drum up publicity for this crappy movie, they resort to such a lurid act of buzz-drumming.

But despite their best efforts, there is no way in hell I’ll be convinced enough to watch that movie. Unless they tell me it’s got some steamy bed scenes, LeAnn gets undressed every 3 minutes, and she simulates swallowing spunk. If all that’s present in the movie, I’m definitely watching it. But clearly, it’s Lifetime so none of that will be happening. Shame, though. LeAnn in extremely dirty acts - that’s certainly something worth drumming up buzz for! And what exactly is the case? Well, according to reports, Lindsay was supposed to be enrolled in an alcohol and drug rehab program as part of her probation (that’s legalese for “Shut up bitch and do as you’re told”) but hasn’t been fulfilling her end of the bargain since practically every week we see paparazzi pictures of her drunk, wasted, coked out, or just plain out of it. So now, she’s been subpoenaed to show up at court and make her case. Something that LiLo has no intention of doing!

What is it with celebs that they think they can do whatever they want and not suffer the consequences? If I were Lindsay, I would take this opportunity to finally get my shit together. I mean, come on! Drew Barrymore had it worse than her and she’s fine now. What’s stopping her from doing the same? The constant media pressure? Here’s a tip: stop doing crazy shit so people won’t have anything bad to write about you. Your failing career? You can always do a sequel to Mean Girls. It’s not rocket science - the basics of career rehab. But first you gotta go to real rehab first. And don’t say no, no, no. You’re not in a position to making any decisions right now.

These Hollywood couples are just dropping like flies. Although, I have to admit that whenever Jennifer Aniston is involved, I’m not surprised to hear about a break-up. Diet regimens. The fact that’s he’s dating a grandma. Little things that almost always cause a snag in any relationship.

Rumor is he broke up with her. Though neither of their “reps” are talking right now, it’s speculated that it happened after Jen’s European tour promoting Marley & Me.

If you ask me, they shouldn’t break up. There, I’m taking a stand. I say that because they have so much in common. They’re both pesky. They both suck at what they do. And they both have this misconception that they’re funny. Just because you were on a hit TV sitcom for 10 years where every brilliant snark was written for her doesn’t make you a funny person. And neither is having so much free time to make video blogs and invite all of your cool celeb friends and pollute the internet with your trash because you’re too lazy to make your crap music.

Now, I’m all for creative departures to elevate a show, but I don’t see how the show could be made better by the axing of one of it’s major characters. Edie delivers the much loved crass sexuality that embodies the essence of a desperate housewife, and to have her kicked off the show will definitely trow off the perfect comedic balance the show has now.

Either way, I’m not worried. Whether she leaves or stays, dies or lives, Edie, and of course Nicollette will always have an awesome body of work (and body, period!) to give me hours of jack-off material, kinda like the ones I found over here. Despite the lackluster sales (brought about no doubt by the lagging US economy) Britney Spears kicked off her first tour in five years to a very lively New Orleans crowd. All things considered, the show was considered a success. Fans described it as a “life-changing experience”.
